YOKOHAMA TRIENALE is a big art festival that the city of Yokohama hosts, together with the Yokohama Museum of Art every three years. We believe that looking at art and experiencing art in a museum setting is an important part of art education. By asking simple questions, children react and respond to art intently and honestly. What they take away from a visit to the museum is that, art can be about anything, and that art can be interesting and fun. This year's TRIENALE's theme was "Islands, Constellation, and Galapagos". Artists were invited to explore the concept of "connectivity" and "isolation" in our modern lives.
LITTLE ARTISTS LEAGUE's Haneka Azuma and Eric Frey put togehter an incredible tour of TRIENALE. Each child got a treasure hunt map of highlights of the exhibition. Children were all so curious and engaged. Thank you all for joining! TRIENALE is going on until 11/5!
